Graphical experimentation using p5.js to create a 3d illusion of rain in a 2d canvas
SKILLS USED:
- Javascript
- P5.js
I'm a soon to be bootcamp graduate from WeCanCodeIT, a program that is focused on full stack development. I have experience developing anything from databases to websites, and the web apps that sit in between them. I am constantly trying to learn more. My goal is to create experiences for users that are lightweight and responsive, while not sacrificing aesthetics or accessibility.
When I'm not working, I'm helping to manage various communities for at risk trans youth, or trying to teach myself how to cook something amazing.
HTML, CSS, JS that are beautiful and responsive while also being maintainable and clean.
Having faced the wall that can be getting into tech many times, I've felt the frustration of how something that should be easy ends up being the complete opposite. I strive to be mindful about this in my designs.
I am a strong advocate for diversity in tech, and so is the bootcamp that I'm coming from. As a soon to be graduate of WeCanCodeIT, I carry forward the program's mission to promoting for a more diverse field in technology.

While P5 was great for prototyping, it was also very slow. This was a project to better understand Canvas, and how to render things to it effectively.

Expanding into a new dimension, the menger sponge is a classic 3D fractal. This was a simple implementation done in p5 to understand 3D concepts

Wanting to render more polygons, I wanted a quick way I could stress test 3D JS frameworks. This was an example using Babylon.js
